How can I identify the type of starter motor My 1973 Bedford CF has started making a brief grinding noise immediately after the ignition catches. I think I may need to replace the starter motor. Sounds simple enough, but there seem to have been at least 6 types of starter motor used on Bedford CFs. How can I identify which one is the one I need? I have tried looking on the starter motor, but can't see any easily identifiable marks other than LUCAS and some faint numbers underneath. Hope someone can help. Thanks Ian ---------------------- | Sun 22 Sep 2013 @ 15:49 |

Which engine do you have fitted? If you can stick a photo up it would be easier to help in identifying it. ---------------------- | Sun 22 Sep 2013 @ 16:18 |
